Gale Acuff has had hundreds of poems published in several countries and is the author of three books of poetry. He has taught university English in the US, China, and Palestine.

Mialise Carney (@mialisec) is a writer and editor from the Boston area. Her writing has appeared in Atlas and Alice, Menacing Hedge, and Sagebrush Review. In her spare time, she enjoys stealing antique silverware from museums and preparing her application to become a full-time hermit.

Born with the eye of a writer and the heart of a story-teller, Karen Fayeth’s work is colored by the Mexican, Native American, and Western influences of her roots in rural New Mexico and complemented by an evolving urban aesthetic. Karen has been published in New Mexico Magazine, Switchback Journal, SLAB, Gloom Cupboard, and more. Now living in the San Francisco Bay area, she can be found online at karenfayeth.com.

James B. Nicola’s poetry and prose have appeared in the Antioch, Southwest, Green Mountains,
and Atlanta Reviews; Rattle; Barrow Street; Tar River; and Poetry East, garnering two Willow
Review awards, a Dana Literary award, and six Pushcart nominations. His full-length collections
are Manhattan Plaza (2014), Stage to Page (2016), Wind in the Cave (2017), Out of Nothing:
Poems of Art and Artists (2018) and Quickening: Poems from Before and Beyond (2019). His
nonfiction book Playing the Audience won a Choice award. A Yale graduate, he is facilitator for
the Hell's Kitchen International Writers' Roundtable at Manhattan's Columbus Library: walk-ins welcome!

Devin Thomas O’Shea has writing in print with Paterson Literary Review, Midwestern Gothic, fresh.ink, and the St. Louis Anthology. He graduated from Northwestern’s MFA program in August 2018, and went on NPR to talk about the manuscript of his first novel with the civil rights activist, Percy Green. Living in Chicago, Devin is a reader for TriQuarterly, a contributing reviewer at American Book Review, and a writing professor in Northwestern’s OLLI Program.

D.T. Robbins has appeared or is forthcoming in Ginosko Literary Journal, Chiron Review, Dead Mule School of Southern Literature, and Full of Crow. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from National University and currently lives in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Hibah Shabkhez is a writer of the half-yo literary tradition, an erratic language-learning enthusiast, a teacher of French as a foreign language and a happily eccentric blogger from Lahore, Pakistan. Her work has previously appeared in Petrichor, Remembered Arts, Rigorous, Lunate, With Painted Words, the Dawntreader, and a number of other literary magazines. Studying life, languages and literature from a comparative perspective across linguistic and cultural boundaries holds a particular fascination for her.

Obsessed with words and language since her early childhood, Laura Taylor believes in the power of poetry as a means by which silent voices speak and hidden ears listen. She has been writing and performing poetry since 2010, and has had two poetry collections published by Flapjack Press in the UK, Kaleidoscope and Fault Lines. You may find her here and here.

Thom Young is a writer from Texas. His work has been in PBS Newshour, the Wall Street Journal, the Oxford Review, and over a hundred literary journals. He is a 2008 Million Writers Award and 2016 Pushcart Prize nominee.
