These photos have my friend, who is currently surviving from depression. These photos are the graphical representation of how the body is bound beneath the fierce grip of mental health sickness. When I wrote the poem after Nimisire, she was battling with an acute case of depression—she almost took her own life. Knowing fully well that I am not exactly free from the shackles, I write about depressions, about my friends' mental health struggle, just so I can find peace too.
